Terms and Conditions

Bookings and Payment

We can hold a provisional booking for up to one week without deposit.  After this we will require a part-deposit of £50 to secure the date in our diary.  The balance of the deposit (£50 for parties, £200 for weddings) will be due one month on from your date of booking.  In addition, for weddings we will require a further down payment of £200 in the January before the date of your booking.  We kindly request that all arrangements, including choice of menu, colour scheme, table plans etc are finalised one month prior to your celebration.  We will then forward you a full breakdown of costs which is payable by return.

We do not require a deposit for conference bookings, but would kindly request full invoicing details at time of booking.  Your conference will be invoiced the following month with payment terms of 30 days.

Minimum Number of Guests

Civil ceremonies and wedding receptions are subject to a minimum booking of 50 guests.

Catering Options

One set menu is required for all guests as we do not offer choices for each course.  We would also need to know how many vegetarians there are within your party so that we can cater for them accordingly with your choice of vegetarian option.

Changeover from day reception to evening reception.

Please note, if you intend to use either suite for both day and night receptions, we will require your party to vacate the room for a short while after your day reception so that we can prepare it for your evening reception.  However, to minimise inconvenience your party will have use of our main bar area during this period.

Resident DJ

We employ a resident DJ at Thornhurst Manor, therefore we regret to advise that it is not possible to provide your own disco.

Projection of pictures and photographs.

The Lower function suite includes a projector for you to present images suitable to your event.   Thornhurst Manor will not accept any responsibility for the content of these presentations and you should ensure that they will not be of an offensive nature to your guests.
