Thornhurst Park sits within one of Doncaster’s most distinctive countryside, and it shows. The course has an unhurried quality. Undulating fairways, thoughtfully placed bunkers, and greens that reward the patient golfer rather than punish the casual one. Laid out across the rolling Doncaster countryside, Thornhurst Park is a course where no two holes feel the same. The terrain works with the landscape rather than against it — natural contours shaping the challenge, mature trees framing the fairways, and the occasional view across the grounds that reminds you exactly where you are.
Meticulous in its maintenance and thoughtful in its design, the course suits every level of golfer. Competitive enough to keep a low handicapper honest. Enjoyable enough that a beginner finishes wanting to come back. That balance is harder to achieve than it looks, and it is one of the things Thornhurst does quietly well.

The bar and beer garden are open throughout the day, and all golfers receive 15% off their drinks. On Saturdays and Sundays, the clubhouse opens from 8am serving breakfast sandwiches, the right way to start a morning round.
The Rekorderlig Garden provides a beautiful outdoor space to sit, unwind, and replay every shot you probably should not have taken.

How do I book a tee time?
Call the Pro Shop on 01302 337799 and select option 1. Tee times are subject to availability and can be booked in advance. We recommend calling ahead, particularly for weekends and bank holidays.
Do you have food & drink facilities?
Yes. Our clubhouse is located within Thornhurst Manor and serves drinks throughout the day, with a beer garden and the Rekorderlig Garden available when the weather allows. The clubhouse opens from 8am on Saturdays and Sundays for breakfast sandwiches. All golfers receive 15% off drinks in the bar.
Is there onsite parking?
Yes — there is a free car park onsite. No need to worry about where to leave the car before your round.
Do you have changing facilities?
Unfortunately we do not have changing facilities on site. We recommend arriving ready to play.
Is there a dress code?
Yes. A polo shirt, trousers or tailored shorts, and golf shoes are required on the course. We ask all players to respect the dress code to maintain the standards of the club for everyone.
Do you have buggies available to hire?
Yes, buggies are available to hire subject to availability. Buggy hire is £13 for 9 holes and £24 for 18 holes. Trolley hire is also available at £5 for 9 or 18 holes. We recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.
What do your memberships include?
We offer three main membership options:
- 7 Day Membership (£835.95): Unlimited golf every day of the week.
- 5 Day Membership (£730.95): Unlimited golf Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. Discounted rates on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays.
- Country Membership (£105.95): Discounted golf every day of the week.
