Weddings at Thornhurst Manor

Congratulations on your engagement and forthcoming wedding and thank you for considering the manor as your venue to celebrate this special occasion.

Thornhurst manor is set within Thornhurst Park and has some beautiful areas giving plenty of opportunity for photographs to be taken within the grounds.

A wide choice of wedding breakfast menus are available, although one set menu would be required for all your wedding party.

A variety of drinks packages are also available to compliment your meal.

The evening buffet along with our resident dj will round off your special day ensuring that it is both an enjoyable and memorable occasion.

The manor is the ideal venue for a range of events including birthdays, anniversaries, corporate events, civil weddings and wedding receptions whatever your special occasion its congenial atmosphere along with professional service and excellent cuisine will ensure that your event is one to remember.

The facilities include a golf course bars function rooms, restaurant and ample car parking.

Upstairs Manor Suite

The manor suite is located at the upper half of Thornhurst Manor. Stepping through the beautifully decorated arch, you will see that the room is completely self-contained with its own bar facility. The suite boasts glorious views to the garden and golf course below and is fully air conditioned for extra comfort during the warm summer months.

For your convenience, restrooms are located on the landing just outside the room. This suite is licenced to preform civil ceremonies with a maximum of 105, the room can also be used for day receptions with a minimum of 50 and maximum of 95 and evening receptions with a maximum of 110.

Downstair Park Suite

This suite is located on the ground floor and is set within its own grounds. The room has easy disabled access again, it is totally self-contained with its own bar facility This room is particularly popular as it has double doors leading out onto a patio and a beautiful garden area complete with Pergola Arch for additional photo opportunities. The patio area is furnished with tables and chairs for guests wishing to sit and enjoy the fresh air, particularly in the summer months. Twinkling lights within the patio's canopy roof complete a magical effect for your outdoor enjoyment all year round.

This room can be used for day and evening receptions, whether it’s a full three course meal in the day and a buffet and disco for the evening or a late wedding running straight through with a buffet and disco.

The room seats a minimum of 50 up to a maximum of 96 guest excluding a top table which can be added on top.

Please note: if you are having both day and night receptions you will have to vacate the room for a short period to allow us to revamp but you have the use of the main restaurant area and your private gardens until it is reset for the evening.

Thornhurst Manor is a popular wedding venue in the Doncaster area so you should always check for availability as soon as your chosen date is known.

Please note that we do not charge for the hire of our function suites, unless it is for a Civil Ceremony, which means our Wedding packages are competitively priced.Please take a moment to read our Terms and Conditions which apply to all Wedding bookings.

The Little Touches

At Thornhurst Manor, we can happily assist with the following touches at no extra charge:

- A cake stand and knife to present and cut your wedding cake. (please ask for details)
- A Toast Master to assist with the formal toast for your special occasion.
